Description:
We are hiring an Avionics Maintenance and Installation Technician in Wichita Falls, TX. This position will play an integral role in the development, expansion and sustainability of our Aircraft Maintenance Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The position includes troubleshooting repairs, performing inspections, modifications and installations of Avionics, as well as servicing aircraft Avionics, electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with Specifications set forth by the manufacturer and the Service Manuals, Service Bulletins, FAA Regulations and Airworthiness Directives
- Operate avionics shop test stations and other specialized equipment
- Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations
- Work closely with the Operations, Logistics, and Maintenance Department for parts and materials ordering, invoicing and tracking
- Perform Aircraft Maintenance at off-site locations
- Availability to travel for continuing education opportunities
Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- A&P Certificate (required)
- at least 5 years of A&P experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings
- Prior experience with GARMIN (400-750 or better) and GENESYS Avionics is highly preferred
- High School Diploma required
- Computer Skills required (Maintenance Software and Office Suite)
- Leadership skills
- Must be able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidays
- Must be able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
- Candidate must be able to pass background checks and drug tests
